MINISTRIES

CONNECT & SERVE

At Amherst Baptist, we provide ministries for people of every age to experience God more deeply in a community with which they can connect and serve.

CHILDREN

Our weekly children’s ministries are designed to teach kids in Kindergarten through 6th Grade the Word of God and engage them in activities that show them their need for a Savior.

CHILDREN

CHURCH

Nursery is available for kids 3mo. to 3 years.

Children Church is available for Pre-K and Kindergarten during the sermon.

SUNDAY

SCHOOL

Kids from ages 2-6th Grade are invited after service to explore God’s word through various activities and learn how the stories from the Bible apply to their lives.

Kids in Pre-K - 6th Grade are welcomed to join AWANA and worship, memorize scripture, learn about missions, play games, earn awards, and build friendships. Join at any time during the school year.

Kids in Kindergarten through 6th Grade can join in on VBS, a weeklong summer program designed to give kids the opportunity to encounter Christ through study, games, missions, and more.

YOUTH GROUP

At Amherst Baptist, we empower our youth in grades 6-12 to become leaders and disciples through our Friday night gathering that lasts from 7PM-11PM.

With activities, Bible studies, and games, we seek to build a community that grows in Christ through fellowship and God's Word.

ADULTS

Our weekly ministries will keep you engaged in the community at Amherst Baptist, providing opportunities to grow in relationship with God and others through Bible studies and fellowship.

DNA

Discussion and application groups meet immediately following the Sunday morning sermon to discuss the content and application of the message.

Men, Women, College, and more groups are all available.

SMALL

GROUPS

Small gatherings that meet weekly or bi-weekly offer times for deeper connection through fellowship and Bible study.

Weekly Bible studies are held throughout the school year.

PRIME

TIME

Monthly fellowship on third Tuesdays, with interspersed activities and outings, for those who are 50 years old and above.

Gatherings typically consist of fellowship, devotions, and a meal.

MISSIONS

Fulfill Jesus' Great Commission by participating in local and international ministry outreaches (recently including the Holy Land). Stay informed of the many ministries that we regularly support and engage with in activities around the world.

FOOD PANTRY

New Beginnings exists to express the love of the Lord Jesus Christ to those from the community in need. A community outreach & ministry pantry operating from our building and serving the 14228 and 14051 zip codes, we are partnered with the Food Bank of WNY, among others, and currently serving approximately 80 families each month in addition to offering a limited clothes “pantry.”

The pantry is run entirely by volunteers and is open on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm, 2nd and 4th Friday mornings from 9am-11am (1st Friday by appointment only), and the third Saturday of the month from 9:45am-11:45am.
